Ryan Ollero

Director of Soccer Operations

With a long family history of soccer in the Tri-Cities and the State of Washington, Ryan grew up playing soccer at a very young age.  Ryan began playing soccer in, what used to be, the Tri-Cities Junior Soccer Association (TCJSA).  As a play-up on a couple of different teams, Ryan competed at the Select and Premier levels.  During this time Ryan was also a member of the Washington East Olympic Developmental Program (ODP).  He was one of 30 players in the State of Washington, at his age level, chosen to train with some of the State's most recognized coaches at the School of Excellence in Cle Elum, WA.  At fifteen years old Ryan was selected to a team that toured Europe and played games in three different countries, to include the Gothia Cup in Goettenburg, Sweden.

Ryan was a three year starting center midfielder for Kamiakin HS in Kennewick, WA where he obtained All Big Nine Honors and led the team in assists for two consecutive years.  As a Junior in HS, Ryan moved away from home to compete in the South Puget Sound Soccer League (SPSL) with the Sportshack - Schmetzer's Sporthaus.

Ryan began playing collegiate soccer on athletic scholarship at Spokane Falls Community College and attended the University of Washington where he continued to play at the open levels of competition.

Aside from his experience as a player, Ryan returned to Eastern Washington in 1990 and began coaching, as a trainer, on several different TCJSA select and premier teams.  Ryan was the Assistant Coach/Technical Trainer at Hanford HS during their run at the WIAA Womens 2A State Championships in 1990 through 1993 and again with Columbia Basin Community College during their NWAACC title runs in 1995 and 1996.

Ryan holds a NSCAA Level VI coaching diploma and continues to pass on his playing and coaching experience as a Head Coach and Trainer at the Academy of Soccer Excellence (ASE).  In addition to coaching and training with several ASE teams, Ryan is putting his past presidential experience with the Tri-Cities Amateur Hockey Association (TCAHA) to good use on the ASE Board of Directors.

Ryan Stout

Director of Coaching/Coaching Education/Player Development

Ryan has been coaching soccer for over 22 years including U5 recreational players to U18 premier teams - and every age group in-between.  Ryan also continues to educate himself as a coach.  He recently completed is Youth Level II training certificate with NSCAA to go along with his USSF “C” license, National Youth Instructors Certificate, and NSCAA National Diploma.  Ryan also attends numerous coaching education seminars and conferences were he has received multiple NSCAA special topic diplomas (small sided games diploma and youth player development diploma to name a few).

Ryan has worked mostly with ASEs development program and recreational program while still finding time to coach a boy’s high school team and support other ages as needed. Prior to working with ASE, Ryan was with North United SC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was the director of their U8 to U10 youth academy. While in Pittsburgh Ryan, was also on the PA West ODP staff and worked with the boys 99 team.

Ryan started his soccer career in the Tri-Cities almost 40 years ago playing with T-CJSA. The Tri-Cities is also where Ryan started his coaching career.  Ryan worked with T-CYSA as the Director of Development for 4 years and was responsible for running the COE camp every spring.

ASE is pleased that Ryan has decided to take on the role as DOC after years as the youth Manager of Player Development.  Ryan’s focus is, and always will be, the development of players both as soccer players and kids.  The increased role of education of our coaches and staff is also important to Ryan as our coaches are the teachers and developers of our players.
